This year the Asia Cup is to be hosted by Pakistan. But Asian Cricket Council (ICC) President Jay Shah said that the Asia Cup will be played out of Pakistan only last year. In such a situation, the fear of snatching the hosting is haunting Pakistan. PCB chairman Najam Sethi has made a plan to meet Jay Shah
India vs Pakistan Asia Cup: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is now in fear of snatching the hosting of the Asia Cup. This is why PCB chairman Najam Sethi is being summoned to meet the Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Jai Shah. Actually, Najam Sethi has to talk about hosting the Asia Cup to be held this year.
Let us tell you that the International League T20 is to be inaugurated in Dubai on Thursday (January 12). Najam Sethi has also made a plan to reach the occasion and talk to BCCI Secretary Jai Shah about the hosting rights of the Asia Cup.
Jai Shah will go or not, it is not yet clear
A PCB source said, “Najam Sethi would like to work on relations with the ACC (Asian Cricket Council) members to ensure that the Asia Cup is hosted in Pakistan in September.” Najam is also going because he has been told that BCCI Secretary Jai Shah is also reaching.

However, it has not been confirmed by the BCCI whether Jay Shah or any other official will attend the
opening ceremony of the International League T20. Apart from this, it is not yet clear whether Shah
would like to have an informal talk with the PCB chairman or not.
Asia Cup may be out of Pakistan
Asian Cricket Council (ICC) President Jay Shah had said last year itself that the Asia Cup will be played out of Pakistan. On which the then chairman of PCB Rameez Raja had threatened to stay out of the ODI World Cup to be held in India.
When Shah recently released the two-year program of the ACC, Sethi took a jibe at him and said that the PCB was not consulted. Responding to this, the ACC said that the PCB had not given any reply to it. Emirates Cricket Board has invited the heads of cricket boards of all countries.
