Ad-Dayer Bani Malik, also known as Dayr Bani Malik, is a city located in the Asir region of Saudi Arabia. The city is known for its rich history and cultural heritage, as well as its beautiful natural landscapes.

Some of these buildings reach up to seven stories at right angles. There are some round buildings. Their magnificence and quality of construction have made them stand up to all natural and climatic conditions for hundreds of years.
The roofs of these buildings are made of wood. All the wood used in these buildings is from trees grown in the same areas nearby. Most of which are made of cedar. The roof of these buildings consists of several layers.
These stone buildings are architectural masterpieces of their era. It was also arranged to keep the climate warm in winter and moderate in summer. These buildings have stairs, a kitchen, and other necessary rooms.

Chimneys are built on one side at the top of the stairs for the release of smoke. The front part of these buildings was decorated with white tape or plastered with mud. Iron gratings were used in the windows of the building and wood was used to make very strong doors.
Wooden locks and iron keys were used for doors and windows. Among the most famous stone villages of Dair Bani Malik are Al-Tahir and Khashar villages in Jabal Khashar, Masjid village, Al-Khattam, Al-Qaraitha, Manasiyah, Aswan, Aswan in Jabal Al-Sa’id, Al-Qatil, Al-Bin and Al-Qaza’a in particular.
One of the most notable historical sites in Ad-Dayer Bani Malik is the ancient fortress that sits atop a hill overlooking the city. This fortress, known as the Qal’at Bani Malik, is thought to have been built in the 6th century and served as an important defensive structure for the region. Visitors can explore the fortress and take in views of the surrounding landscape.
